Technology creation and the discovery of new treatments indications in neuromodulation is accelerating
Non-invasive and invasive technologies are moving rapidly from bench-side to bedside, even as renewed focus on mechanisms of actions (target engagement) drive basic and clinical research. Tools from fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, along with medical wearables and apps, are disrupting traditional models of clinical trials and treatment.
From August 24-26 2018 in New York City join thought leaders from medicine, academia, and industry, for the most dynamic conference on the future of neuromodulation. The joint meeting of the 2018 NYC Neuromodulation Conference and NANS Summer Series is produced by Neuromodec and the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS).

]]>This free event is co-sponsored by the CCNY Deparment of Biomedical Engineering, Neuromodec, and Caputron. In the past few years, the City College of New York has become an epi-center for entrepreneurship in New York City. With incubators like the Zahn Center and CUNY HUB, and the most advanced rapid prototyping facilities in NYC thanks to the Grove School of Engineering, student and faculty at CCNY have resources-in-hand to bootstrap their start-ups and develop to advanced stages. Nowhere are examples stronger than in the area of biomedical therapies and devices. This event includes a open discussion with two CCNY entrepreneurs who have established successful biomedical device companies in NYC. Abhishek Datta is co-founder and CTO of Soterix Medical Inc., the only ISO certified medical device manufacturer in Manhattan with offices at 35th Street. Robin Azzam is founder and CEO of Caputron which in a few years has become among the largest disturbers of medical devices in the North East. The event is open to the public but limited space requires a RSVP to contact@neuromodec.com (a return confirmation ticket is required for admission).
]]>APA Annual Meeting is organized by American Psychiatric Association and would be held during May 20 - 24, 2017 at San Diego Convention Center. The APA Annual Meeting was established in 1844. With over 150 years of success, it remains the premier gathering in psychiatry today because it delivers maximum value. The Annual Meeting is not just a meeting, it is a complete experience of continual growth engaging you to learn from renowned experts, earn credits, build peer relationships, discover ground-breaking technology, and understand new therapies and treatment options.
]]>2017 Clinical TMS Society Annual Meeting. The Annual meeting of the Clinical TMS Society provides an unique opportunity for you to connect with an international gathering of TMS providers and researchers set alongside both the American Psychiatric Association and International Society for ECT and Neuromodulation meetings. This year we will introduce a new aspect of the meeting, a one-day training seminar for new TMS providers and technicians. Following this introductory day, there will be two full information-packed days complete with displays, networking, discussions, poster sessions, demonstrations and keynotes with industry leaders.
]]>The “Non-invasive neuromodulation technology and regulation meeting” is a national meeting covering topics on the commercialization and regulation of non-invasive neuromodulation technology intended for medical and wellness use. This intensive one-day event is in direct response to the proliferation of clinical trials, popular press coverage, and now consumer-directed devices. The meeting is focused on transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) but spans any investigational techniques or marketed technologies that apply electrical energy to the head. Ample time will be allowed for discussion with speakers.
]]>TEDxCUNY 2015 will explore the physical and socially constructed borders between peoples, places, and communities, as well as challenge how borders divide and unite us. What brings people together? What pushes them away?
Diverse in age, race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, language, and interest, the CUNY community is composed of students, faculty, and staff from every background. Not only are CUNY students advocating against the prison-industrial complex, homelessness, and domestic violence, they are also at the front lines of the legislative battle to pass the DREAM Act in New York State. CUNY people are discovering new uses for the ultrasound, and simultaneously planting the seeds for the next great American company. Members of the CUNY community have won Fulbright awards, Rhodes Scholarships, National Science Foundation Fellowships, and Pulitzer Prizes; CUNY people are crossing borders literally, academically, and artistically.
]]>SfN's 45th annual meeting is the premier venue for neuroscientists to present emerging science, learn from experts, forge collaborations with peers, explore new tools and technologies, and advance careers.
