Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) is a form of non-invase neurostimulation that delivers a constant low level current to the brain through the use of electrodes placed on the scalp. This neuromodulation technique uses a steady current between 1 - 2 mA delivered through electrodes to targeted regions of the brain to modulate brain function. Using different electrode configurations, tDCS can be used to either excite or inhibit neuronal activity in the targeted region.

The SSD 6.0 tDCS Device has 4 selectable fixed voltages 9 V, 12 V, 18 V, and 24 V, as well as selectable mA settings from 0.2 mA to 2.0 mA (in 0.1 mA increments). The programmable session timer can be set from 1 min to 40 min (in 1 minute increments). When you have all the parameters set, just press the Start/Stop button to begin your session. The device will immediately switch to the Session Status screen and the bar meter will show the mAmps ramping up. The bar meter is showing how many mAmps are actually going through the electrodes (this is a very accurate real time meter). After ramping to your selected mAmps setting, the timer (in the bottom right hand corner of the screen) will began counting down the minutes remaining in your session. When the timer gets to zero the device will begin ramping down your mAmps then return you to the Parameter Control screen.

Packages are generally dispatched within 1-3 days after receipt of payment, though some exceptions may apply, and are shipped via UPS, DHL and USPS with tracking (when applicable) and drop-off without signature. If you prefer delivery by a different method, please contact us. Delivery with signature is available for an additional fee.
Once your order is shipped you will receive an email or sms message when applicabale (additional carrier rates may apply) with any tracking information available -- you can check order status by logging into your account.
International Customers Please Note: Any additional fees required by customs will be the responsibility of the buyer. We cannot control customs processing times in international countries. It is not uncommon for USPS First Class/Flat Rate parcels, or packages of any type, to get caught up in customs for weeks at a time. We highly recommend using UPS or DHL for international orders as they provide faster customs processing times and accurate tracking updates. We are not responsible for any added time due to customs. We will not be liable for, nor will any adjustment, refund, or credit of any kind be given as a result of any delay, misdelivery, or non-delivery. Items returned to us that were deemed undeliverable and are not damaged in any way are subject to partial refund for the cost of the merchandise minus the cost of shipping. At the discretion of both Caputron and the buyer, redelivery may be attempted for additional shipping costs determined prior to reshipment.

I have the SSD 6.0 and the foc.us low cost device. They both work fine but, the SSD has a touchscreen and a display. Those are worth the extra cost. The case is 3d printed and looks like it was assembled in a makerspace. It looks fine. You won't, however, confuse it with a research grade device.
