A Discussion with CCNY Biomedical Entrepreneurs
New York – Wed Jun 1, 4:30 PM — Wed Jun 1, 5:30 PM
This free event is co-sponsored by the CCNY Deparment of Biomedical Engineering, Neuromodec, and Caputron. In the past few years, the City College of New York has become an epi-center for entrepreneurship in New York City. With incubators like the Zahn Center and CUNY HUB, and the most advanced rapid prototyping facilities in NYC thanks to the Grove School of Engineering, student and faculty at CCNY have resources-in-hand to bootstrap their start-ups and develop to advanced stages. Nowhere are examples stronger than in the area of biomedical therapies and devices. This event includes a open discussion with two CCNY entrepreneurs who have established successful biomedical device companies in NYC. Abhishek Datta is co-founder and CTO of Soterix Medical Inc., the only ISO certified medical device manufacturer in Manhattan with offices at 35th Street. Robin Azzam is founder and CEO of Caputron which in a few years has become among the largest disturbers of medical devices in the North East. The event is open to the public but limited space requires a RSVP to contact@neuromodec.com (a return confirmation ticket is required for admission).
